I wasn’t quite sure what to make of this book by reading the back flap, so I wasn’t certain I would like it. The main character is Flavian de Luce, an eleven year old girl who is investigating a murder which took place in the garden of her home, of which her father is accused.
I am normally not a fan of mysteries, not on tv and not in a book (unless taking place in a nice historical setting). And unfortunately for me, this was ‘just’ a murder mystery. It was nicely written and a fast read, but just not my type of book. Three out of five stars.
